We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our Business Continuity Planning (BCP) programme, run in partnership with Unilever, won the ‘Barclays Developing Resilience’ Award at the 2019 Business in the Community Awards ceremony.
The BCP programme has reached over 1,000 small business owners in the Philippines (of which 57% were women), helping them create business continuity plans and be better prepared when a disaster strikes.
“We worked with the Humanitarian Leadership Academy to help small Philippines-based businesses in our
value chain prepare for emergencies. By training them to create business continuity plans, we can help ensure
their resilience after a disaster and help people access essential goods in times of need – both of which can
positively contribute to the local economy.” – Jonathan Gill, Global Partnerships & Advocacy Manager, Unilever
