We’re looking for a highly output orientated communicator and networker to join us as Business Operations Manager to enable, provide support for, and hold other staff accountable for the development and delivery of the core services and products of the Academy. This includes ensuring that Academy policies, procedures and minimum standards are adhered to and applied fairly at all times in relation to all business services.

The role

In this pivotal role, you will lead the Business Operation functions across multiple locations and ensure provision of quality support to operations in all countries. The role shall ensure that the Academy has the required business structure, resources and technical capacity to manage its operation in the Middle East. You will be a member of the Senior Management Team and be responsible for effective and efficient relationship with the host organisation(s) in delivering all business support services.

We work with organisations from the not-for-profit, public and private sector, technology industry and universities to help local communities across the world to become more resilient in the face of disaster.

The Person

To be successful, you’ll be fluent in both English and Arabic with the right to work in Jordan. You may also need to be willing to travel to insecure environments for short periods of time. With at least eight years of professional experience of service delivery and program or project management support in the development work and/or commercial sector, you will have robust knowledge and understanding of the challenges of business operations in the humanitarian sector. This includes strong financial management aptitude and significant experience and knowledge of budget and financial controls. You will also have experience of managing grants from institutional donors, and a solid working knowledge and experience of dealing with operations, vendor management, and contracting.
