Take part in a new Massive Open Online Course: Humanitarian Essentials – Risks, Security & Wellbeing

The Humanitarian Leadership Academy has teamed up with International Location Safety and the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization to bring you a free massive open online course on ‘Humanitarian Essentials’.

Starting on 1 April 2019, this interactive 4-week course is a great opportunity for humanitarians to enhance their knowledge and skills on topics such as risks, security and wellbeing. Whether you are starting a career in the humanitarian sector, transitioning from a more development focused role to support a humanitarian response, or simply willing to consolidate your humanitarian knowledge and skills, this course is for you.

You will have the possibility to join a global learning experience, connect with peers from all over the world and benefit from the feedback of experienced humanitarian professionals.

The course starts on 1 April and ends on 26 April 2019; and each week will focus on a specific topic:

  • Week 1: Minimising Risk to Crisis-Affected People, Partners and Stakeholders
  • Week 2: Managing Personal Safety and Security
  • Week 3: Adapting and Coping
  • Week 4: Maintaining Professionalism

You will receive a personalised certificate and a digital badge at the end of the course.
