The Humanitarian Leadership Academy in Kenya recently sealed a partnership with the Kakamega County . A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Hon Rachel Okumu – CEC, Public Service and Administration (left) and Mr Charles Lwanga-Ntale, Director of the Kenya Academy Centre (right). The partnership is geared towards the establishment of a County Disaster Management Committee and the engendering of Disaster Risk Reduction in Kakamega County programmes.

Another MoU was signed with the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST). This MoU will specifically focus on the area of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and will stimulate collaborative research, training and develop support initiatives to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the humanitarian sector.
