Fiona McBain is the Chief Executive of Scottish Friendly. She joined Scottish Friendly in 1998, was appointed to the Board in April 2005 and became Chief Executive in January 2006. She spent her earlier career with Prudential and Arthur Young (now EY), where she qualified as a chartered accountant, following her graduation from Glasgow University.
Prior to joining Scottish Friendly, Fiona was engaged in the finance functions at Scottish Amicable, then Prudential plc. Fiona has been twice awarded the coveted title of Scottish Enterprise Female Director of the Year at the Institute of Directors (Scotland) Award Ceremony. Fiona is a director of Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust plc and of the Association of Financial Mutuals, and is a trustee of Save the Children UK.
