I started my career off as a science teacher. I spent over five years in schools and educational charities seeking to widen the access to higher education for students from underrepresented backgrounds. During this time I supported trainee teachers and academics in delivering high quality teaching.
I’m also a science communicator and have combined this with my educational expertise. I’ve designed learning experiences for researchers and journalists to improve the communication of science in developing countries.
More recently, I led the learning design of programmes for policymakers in Europe and emerging economies. These programmes addressed employability, skills, and innovation policy issues.
One thing to know:
Outside of work you’ll probably find me either cycling, running, or trying to find a delicious coffee. Perhaps combining all three!
