I have worked for almost two decades in the humanitarian sector in various part of the world, both in emergency settings and longer-term capacity development. Through range of roles and responsibilities, my main focus area has been in organisational capacity-building, response preparedness, risk reduction, emergency operations coordination, leading and coordinating global networks. Prior to joining the Academy, I worked as Senior Adviser for Disaster and Crisis Management at the IFRC HQ in Geneva and Country Manager for Humanitarian Programmes in Sri Lanka.
