I am an Education in Emergencies (EiE) specialist with more than 15 years’ work experience. I have managed and provided technical program assistance to teams in complex emergency settings; coordinated Education Clusters; monitored and evaluated programs as well as taught & mentored. I have worked in Africa, Asia and the Middle East in different countries including Kenya, South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, DRC, Cambodia, the Philippines, Thailand, Tanzania, Rwanda, Somalia, Jordan and Syria with different agencies including Save the Children, UNICEF, UNESCO and NRC.
I hold an MA in Educational Planning, Economics and International Development from the Institute of Education, London; a Bachelors in Education and I am trained on the Sphere and INEE minimum standards. I am passionate about inclusive education and bring a wealth of field-based experience that is essential in contextualising aspects of the different courses offered in the EiE & PDP Programme.

I am Kenyan and love to read and hike, but eating and learning about food from other cultures is what makes traveling tick for me!
