Before joining the Academy I worked as a freelance consultant delivering strategic and practical support to NGOs, governments and the private sector. My specialist areas of expertise are social impact partnerships, resource mobilisation strategy, humanitarian financing, project management and the evaluation of humanitarian action. Clients have included the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the GSMA.
Over the 18+ years prior to starting my consultancy business, I worked in humanitarian policy, fundraising and partnership management roles for a range of charities including Save the Children International, the RNLI and the British Red Cross.
One thing to know:
Outside of the Academy, I am part of a British Red Cross/Foreign Office Rapid Deployment Team which serves British nationals affected by crisis events in the UK and overseas. I also volunteer as lifeboat crew at RNLI Chiswick.
