Participants of previous Business Continuity Planning (BCP) trainings from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao in the Philippines came together for the Training of Trainers (ToT) held from 20-24 February.
Participants can now train and roll out the BCP as peer facilitators in other areas. BCP Program Manager Melissa Domingo, Disaster Risk Reduction Specialist Mark Cervantes, and Learning Design and Quality Specialist Louie John Aguila attended the training as participants, bolstering the center’s expertise. Immediately after, Cervantes applied his learnings from the ToT as an evaluator for the BCP run in the province of Albay from 27th February to 3rd March.
“The BCP Training of Trainers was organised by the Humanitarian Leadership Academy together with the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) and UP-Institute for Small Scale Industries. It is a trailblazing initiative in the country in ensuring resilience of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The master trainers have a multiplier effect which will reach more MSME even beyond the project.”
