Session format
- This is a 90-minute session held on Zoom Webinars. It will be in English language, and Zoom captions including autotranslation will be available.
- The format will be a series of short panellist presentations followed by discussion.

About the speakers
Mazen Alhousseiny
Mazen Alhousseiny is an organisational strengthening expert that combined the academic knowledge with the practical experience. He completed his master’s degree from the University of Manchester in Organisational Change and Development and has more than 7 years of experience on organisational development.
He is currently the humanitarian capacity strengthening advisor with HelpAge working together with around 30 national and local NGOs in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Latin America on organisational capacity sharing.
David Peters
David Peters is Training and Capacity Strengthening Advisor for Start Network Crisis Financing Programmes. Start Network is a Global Membership Network with over 160 Local, National and International NGO members. Start Network aims to support a more locally led humanitarian system, where NGOs and communities they support can manage disaster risks in a more pro-active way. Capacity Strengthening for the growing Start Network membership has involved the development of a range of e-learning modules that engage our members on different ways of working, such as using Anticipatory Action, and how they can access different forms of financing to support this work. The modules complement other support packages for online, peer-support and in-person trainings.

Emily Marr is Director of Governance and Integrity International.
