We’re delighted to announce a partnership between the Humanitarian Leadership Academy and The MHPSS Collaborative.

Formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the HLA and The MHPSS Collaborative, this is a collaboration rooted in shared values and a genuine commitment to change.
Together, we will be working on the issues that matter most to both of us including youth leadership and participation, shifting power to local actors, and expanding access to mental health and psychosocial support learning across the humanitarian sector.
We will continue to host MHPSS online courses on our digital learning platform Kaya, broadening access to quality MHPSS learning for practitioners around the world. Alongside this, we look forward to co-designing programmes, pursuing joint advocacy, and contributing together to research and thought leadership in the sector.
Pawel Mania, Director of the Humanitarian Leadership Academy said:
“This partnership is a real milestone for us. We’re excited to build on the work the HLA and MHPSS Collaborative have led together. As initiatives hosted by Save the Children, we share a commitment to helping shift the humanitarian system itself from within, towards more human-centred, locally led and collaborative approaches.”
Marie Dahl, Director of The MHPSS Collaborative said:
“The MHPSS Collaborative is committed to bring knowledge and research about the mental health and wellbeing for children, youth and families to the forefront. We share knowledge to practitioners who work with children and families, to the policymakers and funders that make the decisions enabling better support and to the children, young people and families themselves. Our partnership with the Humanitarian Leadership Academy provides an amazing opportunity to collaborate on producing knowledge and putting it in the hands of those who need it.”
