A tale of two borders. Double humanitarian standards in refugee reception: The case of Poland

The report is focused on humanitarian aid provided by local actors and international organisations as a response to a sharp increase in the number of refugees at the Polish borders with Ukraine and Belarus after 2021.

The research looks at the extent to which the two responses in the same country differed, investigating the potential implications for the quality and credibility of humanitarian responses in #Poland. Konsorcjum Migracyjne. is a consortium of 9 social organisations working on behalf of migrants and refugees. The Consortium is a democratic platform of cooperation through which the activities of its member organisations are coordinated in order to make better use of the resources available in each organisation and to share them with others. The activities include: counselling and support for migrants (legal, psychological, social, vocational); integration and information activities for Polish women and men and migrants; Polish language courses; monitoring the social and political situation regarding migration, drafting visionary and strategic programme documents.
