“This HPass Certified Status provides a recognition for AUAF’s efforts to provide world quality education in Afghanistan.”
Dr. Victoria Fontan, Vice President of Academic Affairs at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF)
As the frequency and complexity of humanitarian crises continue to rise, there is increasing demand for a highly skilled workforce capable of preparing for and responding more effectively and efficiently to disasters. For organisations involved in humanitarian preparedness and response, or located in crisis-affected countries, investing in the learning and development of staff and volunteers has become an urgent necessity.
The Humanitarian Leadership Academy has developed a wide range of platforms, products and services to help such organisations.
In addition to the free content that we offer to individuals, we can also support your organisation to curate, create and share high quality learning opportunities that meet your organisation’s specific requirements. If you would like to discuss further and to receive a demo of one of the products, contact us on partnerships@humanitarian.academy
Kaya Curate is an entry-level product that provides a bespoke landing page that can be used to gather existing, relevant Kaya courses in one place so that they can be easily shared with your audience (such as your staff, volunteers or partners).
Kaya Create is a mid-level product that provides a single course page for creating or uploading your own content onto Kaya, supporting learners to access your learning opportunities.
Kaya Share is an open Portal for curating, creating and sharing courses with external partners and/or the wider sector, supporting a variety of learners to access your content.
Kaya Prepare is a closed Portal for curating, creating and sharing courses with an internal audience, usually your staff or volunteers.
We host HPass, a separate platform essential for humanitarian staff, volunteers and recruiters, and providers of humanitarian learning and assessment services. HPass has two key elements, both of which integrate with Kaya.
This complements Kaya by enabling humanitarians to receive a badge, which they can store online on a publicly visible profile and share with employers and peers via a link, on social media or in an e-signature. Humanitarians maintain the same profile as they move between organisations and can accumulate evidence of their achievements throughout their careers.
The HPass Quality Standards are globally recognised standards developed by and for learning providers to support quality service delivery throughout the sector. Organisations can access and adopt the standards to ensure their learning and/or assessment provision meets best practice. Organisations can also become HPass Certified by passing an independent Quality Review which is internationally recognised within the sector.
The Organisational Learning Service is designed to foster learning and capacity strengthening within your organisation. We can support you to build a solid foundation for learning through policies, systems and processes that form the basis of effective, impactful and sustainable capacity development.
From putting in place knowledge sharing practices to designing an operating model for your learning function, the Academy’s approach is designed to make learning an organic, intuitive part of your organisation, tailored to your needs, context and resources.
The Learning Design Service can support you to design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning. From translating and contextualising existing content, to developing a course or pathway from scratch – we can work with you to design learning that meets the needs of your organisation.
